Q: What are artificial preservatives?
A: Complicated chemicals used in food to make them not get spoiled and last longer. These chemicals do serve the purpose they're there for, but they also have side effects. Side effects are usually tumor causing, can cause skin diseases, excessive hair fall and can even cause behavioural problems like increased aggression and "a severe deficit in learning". These chemicals are permitted in pet (and even some human) foods. You can read more about artificial preservatives on our blog.
Q: Why are artificial preservatives bad for our pets?
A: For our own diets, we understood a long time ago that artificial preservatives are bad for us, that's why we won't eat canned or processed foods every day. Our dogs and cats are sensitive to the degree even salt and sugar are bad for them, yet we serve them food that has chemicals we may not even be able to pronounce! These preservatives cause multiple side effects, nutrient deficiencies and overall impact the quality of your dog and cat's life.
Q: What are the preservatives used in The Pet Belly's food?
A: All the food listed on The Pet Belly is completely safe for pet (and human) consumption. The food you buy from us all comes with a shelf life and will spoil if not stored properly or consumed in the specified time. This is also our guarantee, because only fresh food can get spoiled!
The foods sold by us that do have a longer shelf life are preserved naturally by using air drying, freeze drying or vacuum preservation processes, all essentially using AIR and TECHNOLOGY to preserve their food!
Q: What all areas does The Pet Belly deliver to?
A: We are currently delivering Perishable Items like freshly baked good, made-to-order meals, etc to only New Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad & Ghaziabad.
Our Non-Perishable Food Items like Jerkies, Biscuits, Meal Toppers, and other such dry items are delivered across India.
Q: What are your shipping policies?
A: The point of fresh food is to eat it fresh, so we aim to fulfil all our orders on the same day, if the order is placed before 4:00PM. In case an order is placed after 4:00PM but are deliveries are still on for the day, we'll make sure your order is at your doorstep before 8PM. Our absolute latest is next day shipping.
For PAN India deliveries, please expect your order in 8-10days.
