A Feeding Strays Initiative
There are heroes out there that go out twice a day, everyday, to feed hundreds of dogs at once. Come rain or shine, they feed them, make sleeping arrangements for them, search for permanent families for them, vaccinate them, treat them when they're injured, and most importantly they give them love
Introducing our first Pawsome Superhero- Anushka, more famously known as Pawnushka. Anushka’s registered trust, the Asha Foundation looks after over a 100 strays and today we stand in support of her and countless other such individuals.
Now every time you buy food for your pet from The Pet Belly, you have the option to add a donation towards our Pawsome Superheroes. With a minimum donation of Rs. 5 to any amount you choose, the donations collected will entirely be for the welfare of Street Dogs & Cats.
From The Desk of Pawnushka
“ It's tough to begin with the right words, only if I could find the right words to describe the ups and down a charity faces!
My charity Asha Foundation, lovingly known as Pawnushka has been working for almost 9 years and is being run by me, individually.
I started rescuing from the age of 14 and here I am, 23, still picking up animals when they meet with an accident , providing them with meals and a hope for a better life on the streets.
I look after 150 stray dogs ,from their food to medical care, everything gets covered. Its much more than I could describe in words .Those who follow me are aware of the hard work I put in for the kids on the streets.
It's Summers and expenses will increase tremendously and so will our need for funds for the following things:
Daily meals , anti- tick medication, sterilization (an ongoing expense) , clean water supply, veterinary bills , vaccines - anti rabies and deworming for all 150 kids! I additionally pay approximately Rs 60,000 for the monthly boarding for around 11 furry babies that were rescued and are under medical rehabilitation in boardings.
If any of my work brings a smile on your face then please consider chipping in as much as you can. Little by little, we will cross the edge and provide a safe haven to even more babies.”

Importance of Pawsome Superheroes
It's a mammoth task for a single person to personally look after over a 100 dogs. Grants & larger donations are targeted at bigger, more systemic organizations. Making each feeder’s individual donations unstable or dependent on their own social media marketing skills.
We, at The Pet Belly, have designed this campaign in the hope to ease the lives of these individuals, who selflessly work everyday to look after helpless streeties. We start with One Feeder today, and hope to add many more do-gooders in this journey.
